Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a group of inflammatory conditions of the colon and small intestine. Fortunately, these conditions are not common in our region and can be treated medically in most of the cases. Patients sometimes needs surgery if they develop any complication or in case of failure of medical treatment.
