Service Description
Colorectal cancer (CRC), also known as bowel cancer and colon cancer, is the development of cancer from the colon or rectum (parts of the large intestine).Colorectal cancer may not present with any symptoms, especially in the early stages. If you do experience symptoms during the early stages, these may include, new onset of constipation or diarrhea, change in routine bowel habits, bleeding with stools, change in stool shape, excessive gas, abdominal cramps, unintentional weight loss, fatigue and anemia. If diagnosed at early stage, colorectal cancer is treated quite successfully with surgical approach, which can be open or keyhole depending upon stage of the disease. Some of the patients also need radiation therapy and chemotherapy, before or after surgery, depending upon the stage of the cancer.
